Coldplay - Hymn for the Weekend music video Review

To start with I honestly am in love with this song. There have been controversies regarding cultural appropriation and I agree with that but what they have shown is not wrong either. False patriotism is by no means a thing to be proud of. But I'm not going to go into what controversies they run into. It's a straight up review slash personal opinion of mine.
Like million others, I see a lot of videos on youtube especially music videos. This one stand out for its own vision which the Coldplay team have perfectly achieved. Almost every part of the video is beautifully choreographed and the intensity of the music and its weight depicted almost uncanny. From the opening scene of Benares "he" sitting on the rooftop, the birds flying in the background to the explosion of colors, to the fire trick (which was enhanced by CGI) they seemed to be living in the moment. Yes, so high-so high is not the kind of lyrics fans of Coldplay want to hear especially for a song depicted in India where everybody still seem to be in 90's trance like state, neither the actress Sonam Kapoor run frantically to blow up rose petals.
Still the evidence of modern pop culture is very much evident by Beyonce's dress. I haven't seen any Indian queen in a revealing dress in the past nor they do now (if they do let me know after seeing this video that is different). From first to the end it's very much "their" vision and it partially reflects how they think about India in 21st century.
For me I don't pay much attention to the lyrics other than the video wrapped in myriad of colors and movement of their lips. One thing I can not ignore the fact even though they have shown the different cultures representative of the different Indian states, it still paints a contrasting picture with the poor kids seem to be overjoyed. It's not clear they are happy because Coldplay is performing in India or they just want to play Holi because they needed an excuse.

Parsec Review

Parsec - Co-op Multiplayer Cloud Gaming Review (WIP) My computer is getting really old truth to be told. My computer specs are below: Core 2 Duo 3.0 Ghz 2x2 GB of Zion 800 Mhz Ram Nvidia Geforce GTX 550 Ti Redgear Pro Wireless Gamepad I have become fond of my Redgear Pro Wireless Gamepad. I can post the review of it later. So yesterday I was thinking about playing some latest games that will put my controller to put use and then came the idea of Cloud Gaming. The way Cloud Gaming works is that the latest and some older games are installed on the company's server computers. Those computers are equipped with the latest and modern hardware and software for which a common folk if wants to upgrade will run into $ 1000 to $ 2000. Those hardware of those computers process the game and the video of the output will be sent back to the user to watch. But it's a game so the user is given input controls which will be sent to the remote computers. There are few players i...

Trip to Divinity

Trip to Divinity A view atop the hotel in Mussourie. Travel journal of my latest tour Day - 1    17.10.19 "In anticipation of something new excitement arose"   It's heard already to write this travel journal while being in train. My day has started much before anyone else as I left for work yesterday, worked the entire night, and in the morning around 10:30 I took a shared cab and left for Howrah railway station. The purpose of this trip was to start our journey from Lucknow and eventually reach Haridwar while covering few other places on the way.  While on cab I passed by the ever famous "Nakul & Girish Chandra" - the iconic sweet shop among Kolkatans. Alas it still remained just a glimpse. Shortly afterwards, the punchy and raw smell of the masalas woke me up in a frenzy only to remind me that I entered Burrabazar, a trader's place complete with snarling traffic and desperate me alone in a cab. The standstill traffic was the ...
